We are a volunteer team of Newmarket residents whose mission is to make local information accessible and to provide tools and resources that help residents stay informed, connected, and to help build community bonds and encourage real-life interactions.

These terms of service ("Terms") apply to your access and use of the bulletin board (the "Service"). Please read them carefully.

It is your responsibility to review the bulletin board for changes to these terms. If you continue to use the service after the revised terms go into effect, then you have accepted the changes to these terms.

Our service allows you and other users to submit listings through our submissions forms. You are responsible for the content that you make available to the service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness. When you post, link or otherwise make available content to the service, you grant us the right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute your content on or through the service. We may reword or reformat your content for display throughout the service. We reserve the right to retain web server access logs for a maximum of one year.

You may not post, link and otherwise make available on or through the service any of the following:

• Content that is libelous, defamatory, bigoted, fraudulent or deceptive;
• Content that is illegal or unlawful, that would otherwise create liability;
• Content that may infringe or violate any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of privacy, right of publicity or other intellectual or other right of any party;

• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any filtering, security measures, rate limits or other features designed to protect the service, users of the service, or third parties.

the bulletin board makes no claim or representation regarding, and accepts no responsibility for third party websites accessible by hyperlink from the service or websites linking to the service. When you leave the service, you should be aware that these terms and our policies no longer govern. Content on the service may include inaccuracies or false information. We do our best to verify all submissions, however we make no representations, warranties, or guarantees relating to the quality, suitability, truth, accuracy or completeness of any content contained in the service. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your use of or reliance on any content.

The service and any other service and content included on or otherwise made available to you through the service are provided to you on an "as is" or "as available" basis without any representations or warranties of any kind. We disclaim any and all warranties and representations (express or implied, oral or written) with respect to the service and content included on or otherwise made available to you through the service whether alleged to arise by operation of law, by reason of custom or usage in the trade, by course of dealing or otherwise.

In no event will the bulletin board be liable to you or any third party for any special, indirect, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the service or any other service and/or content included on or otherwise made available to you through the service, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages or are aware of the possibility of such damages. This section will be given full effect even if any remedy specified in this agreement is deemed to have failed of its essential purpose.

The validity of these terms and the rights, obligations, and relations of the parties under these terms will be construed and determined under and in accordance with the laws of the New Hampshire, without regard to conflicts of law principles. You expressly agree that exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute with the service or relating to your use of it, resides in the courts of the New Hampshire and you further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of the New Hampshire located in Newmarket, NH in connection with any such dispute including any claim involving service. You further agree that you and service will not commence against the other a class action, class arbitration or other representative action or proceeding.

If you breach any of these terms, we have the right to suspend or disable your access to or use of the service. We furthermore reserve the right to disable your access to the service if we deem your activity to be abusive of the service.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the bulletin board regarding the use of the service, superseding any prior agreements between you and the bulletin board relating to your use of the service.

This privacy policy applies to the bulletin board website (the "Service") that was created by the bulletin board team (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a free service. This service is intended for use "as is".

• The pages of the service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages

the bulletin board uses artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to supplement certain content. The AI components may process user-submitted content to extract or summarize information. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws. If you have questions about the AI features or data processing, please contact the service provider.

The service provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information or required notices.

The service provider may disclose user provided and automatically collected information:

• As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• When they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

The service provider will retain user provided data for as long as you use the service and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete user provided data that you have provided via the service, please contact them at hello@thebulletinboard.org.

The service provider does not use the service to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The service does not address anyone under the age of 13. The service provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the service provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the service provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the service provider (hello@thebulletinboard.org) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

The service provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The service provider provides electronic and procedural safeguards to protect information the service provider processes and maintains.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The service provider will notify you of any changes to the privacy policy by updating this page with the new privacy policy. You are advised to consult this privacy policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes. This privacy policy is effective as of January 1, 2026.

By using the service, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this privacy policy now and as amended by us.

If your actions, your posts, your misrepresentation of authority to submit content, or your violation of these rules lead to a legal claim against the bulletin board, you agree to cover our reasonable legal costs, expenses, and any resulting damages or settlement amounts. This does not apply to any losses caused by our own gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

We provide this service "as is." We are not responsible for any indirect or unpredictable losses, such as lost data or missed opportunities, resulting from your use of the site. In all cases, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) to use the service.

If a legal claim arises, you agree to help us in a timely manner by providing necessary information or documents. We have the right to handle the legal defense, but we will act in good faith.
