The Newmarket Community Church (NCC) Food Pantry provides access to nutritious food to people in the greater community who experience food insecurity while building community, creating connection, enriching lives and community service opportunities.
The NCC Food Pantry is open every Thursday from 1pm to 6pm.

It serves as a "home away from home" where seniors can engage in activities like fitness classes, art workshops, and games, or simply socialize, use the lending library, and enjoy a cup of coffee.
The New Market Historical Society preserves local history by operating the 1841 Stone School Museum, which features 20th-century artifacts, a, agricultural, and industrial exhibits. They offer free, open-to-the-public educational meetings, historical lectures, and, to, special events like, "Murder, Mischief, Mishaps & Mayhem," to connect residents with their heritage.
The Newmarket Transfer Station (345 Ash Swamp Rd) offers residents free food waste composting in partnership with Mr. Fox Composting via 64-gallon covered carts, reducing landfill waste. It also provides "Single Stream Recycling" for mixed recyclables and manages a pay-as-you-throw curbside trash program.
